I really enjoy mowing the lawn with this mower. Handle feels good. Grass catcher sometimes comes off when going over bumpy/tall grass. I stopped using it - just let the cut grass stay on the lawn, which is actually better for the lawn. My yard is now mostly weeds. This mower cuts everything but dandelions and too-tall stuff. Haven't sharpened the blades yet, but I've had it for 3 months now, and it's getting a little harder to push, so probably time to sharpen. But to be fair, the weeds I'm mowing are thicker and tougher to cut.

Bought this mower in hopes that an electric mower would be better than a gas mower. For the price, I couldn't get a better deal. The mower is easy to push and runs pretty quiet. The best part is being able to flip the mower to clean it and not worry about gas or oil flying everywhere. The only negative part would be carrying the cord, but you should know about that when buying an electric mower anyway.

I recently purchased the Earthwise 60120 cordless electric mower. This machine really gets the job done. It has as much power as our old 4.75 hp gas mower. You can talk and carry on a conversation with it running. It has every thing you could possible want in an electric mower. Very easy to operate and push. I got my lawn done 10 minutes faster than with our old self-propelled gas mower! It even cuts thru wet moist grass very easy and didn't bog down once. Before purchasing this mower, we bought the Remington 60 volt cordless mower. It was alright, but didn't have the power of the Earthwise 24 volt 60120. Plus the Remington didn't have a way to charge the battery inside of the home. Earthwise does and at no extra cost. I would recommend this unit over the Neuton or any other electric mower currently made. Very, Very Pleased!

i've researched reel type mowers for a while, searching for the perfect one. i haven't been responsible for yard work ever and i just moved into a place where that job rests on my shoulders. so i wanted a mower that was manageable for me and sensible for my smallish yard. this particular mower had great reviews so i bought it. it was delivered to my location in no time, i had it assembled in less than 10 minutes. me and my 8 year old daughter were outside using it and having a blast. our small yard is a mix of steep hills and smooth flat areas but we found the mower could handle it all with ease. i made sure to put WD40 on all cutting edges and moving parts (i'm sure that helped tremendously) and found it wasn't necessary to change the factory settings at all. we got a nice even cut that left the grass about 1 1/2" or so (guestimation). we only had to make one pass over most areas to get an efficient cut (a couple passes for thick weedy grass) and as other people posted, it won't cut weeds much over ankle height and it doesn't like rocks or sticks (luckly my yard has very few of both). i found it MUCH easier to use than a gas mower and less messy. it makes a nice sound as it's cutting the grass and i had a great time with my daughter. we even met a couple neighbors who were curious about our "old fashioned" mower and wanted to try it out.

my only complaint is with the handle bar grips. the foam is very flimsy and doesn't stick to the handle bars. they slip and slide and won't stay in place. i'm sure i can rig them up to stick, but i shouldn't have to do that. the manufacturer should design it with the handle bar grips already stuck on there with some heavy duty glue or something!

other than that, i highly recommend anyone with a smallish yard to try this mower out.

This is the first time I've been moved enough to write a review of a product. I love this mower! I'm female, living in Florida, with St. Augustine grass, and if I'm being honest I can't remember the last time I did an upper arm workout. I expected to struggle with this, but it was so easy to mow the lawn, I was amazed. It was easy to put together, the height adjustment on the blade was very easy to operate, and it seemed to slice through the grass without any problems whatsoever. I would not hesitate to recommend this product, and hope my neighbors start copying me soon so that we can have quieter weekends with less pollution in my neighborhood soon.

When I received my lawn mower, the first time I took it out to mow was great. It only took me about 7 minutes tops to mow-a job I absolutely dread! Now I actually look forward to mowing. It is exactly like a real (gas) mower-cuts like it, if not even better! I have a extremely small yard that doesn't have the best of grass and this is perfect. I would mow with my new mower a yard four times the size of mine with no problem. I highly recommend it. It's great!

I ordered this for my husband for Father's Day. I had it delivered to his parents' home. It arrived quickly and in good condition. My husband was able to set it up in a few minutes to take home. He's used it twice now and loves it. It is light weight and easy to handle. He prefers the Black & Decker electric mower over other more expensive brands out there. If you are looking for a light-weight, dependable, easy to put together, and easy to use electric mower, get this one. You will need your own outdoor cord. The cord does not get in the way. My husband never has a problem with the cord and neither should you.

Yesterday was my first outing with my B&D cordless mower, except for a short trial run after its arrival last month. It was terrific. No worries about spilling gas, checking oil, spark plug, or waking the neighbors. Really like being able to just put in the battery and take off. I have to admit that I miss the self-propel feature of my previous mower and kept reaching for the lever when pushing up the slight incline which my yard has. Once I get in mowing shape this won't bother me, but it certainly would be a nice to have. Seems to mulch grass and leaves very well. Mowing front and back lawn took about an hour with no noticeable loss of power. I keep the mower in an outside storage room, folded and covered, and the battery is in the house.

I am a 70-year old female and would recommend this mower to anyone, especially ladies who take care of their yards. The battery may get a bit heavy in years to come so I'm trying to think of some sort of wheeled device to help get it back and forth. But not yet.

I purchased this mower after battling with one of those gas mowers. I being new to this country have never used one of those gas things. The lawn hog is my best pet, it never runs out of gas, just plug it in and away you go. (The gas mower ran out of gas what a drag that is especially when you have no GAS !!) The other great feature is the ease of the stop and start of the lawn hog just by pressing or releasing the handle. The gas mower if you stop it has to be restarted, (which if you lack the knack can have you blue in the face 3/4 hr later)or you end up polluting the street by leaving it running. The height control is great ajusts all wheels at once. The only two problems i can see with this mower is the length of the extension cable which may be very long depending on the size of the garden. The other problem may be getting it up slopes depending on the elevation. However all the other factors far outweigh these two minor problems. This mower is non polluting, quiet and can easily handle most large lawns.(i have 3/4 acre )

No need for a long review, I think the others before me said it best! I love this mower, I mow a half acre with this and its easy to use and quiet. This "green" mower puts off no fumes and will last much longer than a gas powered mower. Love it love it love it!!!

Update:
I have had this for 2 seasons now, and although the neighbors stare, and say "I don't know how you mow a half acre with that thing!" I still love it. I actually enjoy mowing the lawn and the best is how quiet it is. Im sure it takes a little bit longer to mow than a gas powered mower, but when we mow, we break the yard into 3 sections: frond/side/back and usually do one section at a time.
